This time of year is a time of longing. Longing for warm days, melting snow, sprouting plants. It’s natural to long for the return of the nice weather. It’s funny though, how the same weather can cause a different response depending on when it happens. A new snowfall in mid December puts folks in a festive mood while a new snowfall in mid March makes folks cranky. The same thing can feel like a gift or a bother. I remind myself that it’s all a gift… it’s all Grace … and try to remember to say Thank you for it all.
A good friend and colleague of mine, Charlotte Weltzen, and I are offering short reflections/meditations during lent. Charlotte is the Pastor of The Community Church of North Orange and Tully in Massachusetts. Please follow the link to find the weekly offerings. – Owen
