As we continue to follow Jesus’ journey to the cross and prepare to celebrate Easter, St. George’s offers some opportunities to mark those events with worship and music.
Maundy Thursday 7pm
On Thursday, we celebrate Jesus’ last supper with his disciples and his commandment to his followers to love one another as he loves us. The Maundy Thursday liturgy will be held at 7pm and the service concludes with the “stripping of the altar” during which we remove all the adornments from the church to prepare the church for Good Friday.
Good Friday 10 am
On Good Friday we remember Jesus death on the cross and meditate on its’ meaning. The service will be held at 10am and it will be followed by Hot Cross buns, coffee & tea in the parish hall.
Easter Day
Our Easter celebrations will be held at 8am, 9:30am, and 11:15am. At 9:30am will include Easter hymns and an anthem preformed by our 9:30 Choir. 11:15am is our contemporary service with a kid’s program. The 8am is a traditional said service with an Easter message.
