Nativity Blessing & Carol Sing this Sunday at 4pm

St. George’s celebrates the birth of Jesus, with a special community-wide gathering to bless our outdoor Nativity this Sunday at 4pm. Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies in the parish hall to begin. We will sing Christmas carols, hear the Christmas Story, and then head outside to bless the display.

The life-sized chainsaw sculpted wood figures were designed and carved by Robbin Wenzoski, from Muirkirk, Ontario (near Chatham). Robbin has been carving for over a decade, but this is his first Nativity sculpture. His work is a beautiful and powerful depiction of the Holy Family and it now sits prominently on the church’s front lawn and can be admired easily by all who pass by, night or day.

The church is grateful for Robbin’s art, for the generous donors who helped fund the display, for Rick Gorski, church member, who coordinated the project and for the volunteers who helped with the installation and lighting.

Our community celebration on Sunday December 2 at 4pm is open to everyone. Join us in giving thanks for this beautiful Nativity display as it proclaims the true joy of Christmas.
