Easter is the most important celebration of the year for us as Christians. Here is how we are helping you to celebrate and mark the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Maundy Thursday
Share a potluck meal and meet with others from the community on Thursday at 6pm in the Parish Hall. Maundy Thursday in Holy Week is the day we mark Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples by gathering together for a potluck supper at which also share in a table Eucharist. Bring your favourite dish and eat with us.
Afterwards with the help of our Altar Guild we have a ceremonial and solemn “stripping of the altar” where we remove all the liturgical and decorative adornments from our worship space in preparation for our Good Friday service.
Good Friday
Our Good Friday service, at which we read the Passion story from John’s Gospel and meditate of the Cross of Christ, is held at 10am on March 30.
Easter Day
Of course, our most important celebration of the year is Easter, the day of the Resurrection of Christ. Our Easter Day services are at 8am (said traditional), 9:30am (with hymns and Choir), and 11:15am (Contemporary) on April 1st.
