Advent Greetings St. George’s Families,
I hope this finds everyone well and happy. Christmas plans are in full swing I expect and some may even have a tree up at this point. I hope in all the busy-ness of the season you make time for some quiet time for your spiritual life. I have included a simple way to do that for the whole family. Using an Advent Wreath at the supper table when the family is gathered together is a great way to prepare for the coming of Jesus into the world.
The bazaar was a great success again this year. There was over $13,000.00 raised. If you had a chance to come, you had a great opportunity to pick up some great stuff. Thanks to all the people that made it such a resounding success.
The parking lot is now completed and it is a wonder to behold. Most of the money to pay for it has been fund raised but there is still a couple of thousand that needs to be given. If you would like to participate, please put your donation into an envelope marked ‘parking lot’ and this amount will be added to your yearly tax donation receipt.
Our December Messy Church is Wednesday December 13th at 5pm. We will be acting out the Christmas Story and everyone gets to participate!
Christmas services at St. George’s are:
- 9 Lessons and Carols – December 17, 7:00 pm
- Christmas eve: 5:00 pm (family service), 7:00 pm, & 9:00 pm
- Christmas day: 10:00 am
I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and may God bless you in 2018.
Nancy
