Greetings St. George’s Families,
I have just come back from a Caribbean cruise and it was grand. It was nice to get away from the snow and cold for a bit, but a bit of a shocker to come back to. I hope you are soldiering through this winter with thoughts of the coming spring giving you strength.
Messy Church is this coming Wednesday (February 8) at 5:00. The theme is ‘The Lord’s Prayer’. As usual there is a reflection piece included here. For supper we will be having make your own pizza, with cut up veggies. I am looking forward to seeing many of you. As usual you are invited to bring along another family.
The Fresh Food Box is a program that is supported by the volunteers of St. George’s. Fruits and vegetables, as many as possible from local sources, are packed up and can be picked up at St. George’s. There are three sizes available, a family size for $20.00, a small family size for $15.00 and an individual size for $10.00. There is a great variety that changes each month. Recipes are included as well as helpful hints and suggestions. It is a very economical way to provide wholesome food for your family. The money is due by February 17 and the pick-up date is February 28. Contact Janet Armstrong below to make arrangements for ordering and payment. Many people pay for next month’s Fresh Food Box when they pick up their box.
I look forward to talking with you soon. Take heart, spring is not far off!
Blessings, Nancy
