Hello St. George’s Families,
Oh joy, spring is here. The tulips and daffodils are in full bloom. It is so nice to fell the warm sun again. In May I will be attending an international Messy Church conference in England. It is shaping up to be quite the gathering as there will be people from almost every continent (no Antartica). I am on the team from Canada that will be doing a reflection piece with a Canadian twist.
Messy Church was May 11 and the theme was A BBQ on the Beach. The weather was great and folks brought along their lawn chairs. We had our crafts and a scavenger hunt for the whole family. This Messy Church was our last Messy Church until September.
Kid’s Camp is July 4-8. Kid’s Camp is for kids between 4 and 9. It is a half day camp from 9:00 to noon. It includes a T-shirt, music CD, crafts, snacks, games and lots of fun. Registration form are here. The cost is $35.00 per child. Registration is limited and it is rare not to have all the spots filled. If you would like to volunteer as a leader for a day, or the entire week, please let me know. As leaders we have a great time.
Normally we have a Church School picnic in June, but we will be trying something different this year. We will be having a start up BBQ and picnic in September this year. More information will be forthcoming at the end of the summer about the picnic.
Last month in my letter I wrote about the pledge forms. This month I would like to suggest an easy way to help you with your givings. It is called Pre- authorized Giving. There is a form here or click on the donate button at the top of this page to find out more. This is an easy way to support the ministry at St. George’s.
Enjoy spring and I look forward to seeing you.
Nancy
