Greetings St. George’s Families,
The fall is revving up with school beginning, registering for various activities. It is sad to say good-bye to summer, but there is a certain excitement about things to come. I look forward to seeing you in Church, Messy Church or just out and about.
Church School starts up again on September 7. If you think you might be interested in being a Church School leader, please let me know. The activity sheets, craft and reading are all provided. Church School happens at the back of the Church during the 11:15 service.
Messy Church is September 10 with the doors opening at 4:30. The theme is Jonah and I will be posting more about the theme next week, so check back here at the website! There are some really cool crafts for kids and parents to do. The story of Jonah and the Big Fish makes fish and chips (our dinner) the perfect compliment to the theme.
The Fresh Food Box orders are due by Friday September 12. If you are interested in receiving a Fresh Food Box (small $13, large $17) call the office (904-877-8044) to make arrangements. Most of the produce is locally sourced and it is a very reasonable way to provide fruits and veggies to your family. Read more about the Fresh Food Box at their website.
September 16 is the Spirited Study at the Shepherd’s Crook. If you enjoy a ‘pint’ and lively discussion, then consider coming at 7:30pm. The topic is still up for grabs, so if you have something in mind, let me know.
On September 28, St. George’s will be celebrating Back to Church Sunday. This is also the day that we have our Kid’s Camp reunion. You will get to hear some of our Kid’s Camp songs and hear the story of Queen Ester as told by our Kid’s Camp leadership team! This happens at the 11:15 service.
I hope that school is going well. That for those just starting their school career, that it is fun and exciting. I look forward to seeing you soon and talking about the fun things that you did this summer.
Blessings,
Nancy
