Greetings St. George’s families,

I hope this finds you well. I suspect that summer activities are gearing up with such things as soccer and baseball. It won’t be long before the kids will be on summer vacation.

On June 7 we will be having the last of our PD Day Kid’s Camp. Camp runs from 9:00 to 3:00 and includes snacks, lunch, crafts, games and a fun filled day. The cost is $20.00 per child. Registration forms are available on the St. George’s website or from the Church office.

We will be having a Church picnic on June 9. There will be a BBQ with potluck salads and desserts. Please bring a lawn chair. There will be games for the family and a chance to relax. The picnic will be starting around 12:30 after the 11:15 service finishes.

Messy Church is June 12, with the doors opening at 5:00. We will be having a BBQ with hamburgs and hot dogs. The theme is the Holy Spirit. The coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost marks the birth of the Church. We will be having birthday cake to mark the event. If the weather is nice, we will be outside.

Kid’s Camp happens this year from July 8-12. We’re bringing a global fair to the kids at Kid’s Camp, Everywhere Fun Fair: Where God’s World Comes Together! Your kids will become neighbours at Everywhere Fun Fair as they explore God’s welcoming love and discover how Jesus teaches us to be great neighbours. Kid’s Camp runs from 9:00 to 12:00 and includes a CD, a T-shirt, snacks, games and crafts. Kid’s Camp is for kids 4 – 9 years old. The cost is $35.00. Registration forms are available on the website (www.stgeorgesgeorgetown.com) or from the Church office.

In July and August there is no 11:15 service (and no Church School). The 8:00 and 9:30 service continue as usual. Messy Church also goes on vacation and will resume on September 11 as does Baby Talk.
