Nancy Talks About Messy Church
Messy Church is a lot of fun. Families get to speed quality time together. They talk and do crafts and play games together. Parents also get the opportunity to say “Hi” with other parents, to share stories, and talk about life. Of course, there is a theme that runs through Messy Church each night, that is tied to Christian living, prayer, our a teaching from the Bible or a story of Jesus. Then there is a meal. No need to worry about what to do for supper on Messy Church night! Our first Messy Church, after the summer break is September 12th, 5pm – 7pm, in the parish hall at St. George’s.

This is St. George’s sixth year of Messy Church. The Rev’d Nancy Rowe started running Messy Church when she was a student at seminary, but it has become a important part of our Family ministry here at St. George’s.

Nancy is helping to spread the news in Canada about Messy Church and in doing so, she interviewed, by Sue and Andy Kalbfleisch. Sue and Andy kindly put together this clip from the interview in which Nancy talk about Messy Church at St. George’s, how it came to be and what have values shaped it. It is just under seven minutes and I hope you enjoy listening to it. I sure you will see how much she loves being part of Messy Church at St. George’s!
