Hello St. George’s Families,

I hope this letter finds you and your family well and happy.

At Church School this coming month the focus will be on one of the Fruits of the Spirit on May 6, Noahs wife and the Pharaoh’s daughter on May 13. There will be no Church School on May 20 (for the May long weekend) and Potiphar’s wife and Rachel and Rebeka will be the topics on May 27.

The Spirited Study is May 16 at 8:00 at the Shepherd’s Crook. The topic this month is “When our integrity hits the thorns of life”. It promises to be a lively, engaging conversation. Come and have a beer/glass of wine/coffee/supper and a great time.

St. George’s participates in the Walk for ALS (Dr. Jeff Sutherland is part of the St. George’s family) which is June 2 this year. The location has changed to Dominion Gardens Park/Christ the King High School. A donation form is available from the Church office if you would like to walk or you can sign up to walk here. If you would like to sponsor one of the ‘St. George’s Saints’ who will be walking that day, you could sponsor Wendy Lovely, our team captain.

Our Kid’s Camp this year is “Operation Overboard” and runs from 9:00 – 12:00, July 9 – 13. The camp is already about a third full, so don’t wait too long to register. There are never any spots left! The cost is $35.00 per child and includes a CD, T-shirt, crafts, snacks and a lot of fun. Registration forms are available from the Church office or call 905-877-8044 to make arrangements to pick up a form. If you would like to be a volunteer at Kid’s Camp, let me know. You do not have to make commitment for all 5 days, we will gladly accept what you can do.

Jen Kuhnle, who organizes Toddler Time on Fridays from 10:30 – 12:30 is looking for parents and children who would like to gather for play time together (and a chance for the parents to chat). Toddler Time happens in the hall at St. George’s. If you can help out as a volunteer as the “friendly face of St. George’s” who welcomes parents and puts on the coffee please let us know at the Church office (904-877-8044).
