I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to connect with friends and family to celebrate the many blessings that are God’s gift to you.
Messy Church this month is October 12. I suspect by Wednesday you will have had enough turkey, so we will be having lasagna and veggies. We will be exploring one of Jesus’ miracle, the feeding of the 5000. A short reflection is included. This year, there are several families who have gymnastics and have to leave early. They do the crafts, are provided with an early supper and leave by 6:00. If you have another activity on Wednesday, this is always an option for you also. Some families arrive late and that is fine too. Messy Church happens at the messy edges of life and time schedules can make life messy!
At the Sunday 11:15am Service Church School the children will continue to look at the women in the Bible and the Fruits of the Spirit. On October 16 Abigail, on October 23 Spirit 2, on October 30 Halloween activities and the Witch of Endor (yes she is in the Bible!) and on November 6 Bathsheba.
St. George’s is offering Kid’s Camp on the PD day, November 18 from 9:00 to 3:30 for a cost of $15.00 which includes lunch. There will be crafts, games, science activities and a great time.Call the office (905-877-8044) or go to http://t.co/qO4ngPf for a registrations form. The first PD day and Kid’s Camp was October 2 and was a great success. There were 14 kids and a great time was had by all.
Yours in Christ,
Nancy
