Nancy and I, along with Canon Terry DeForest and Canon Margaret Murray, visited the Georgetown GO Station and greeted the morning commuters at to promote “Back To Church Sunday” this Sunday September 26th. The Rev’d Aaron Orear put together a small booklet called “Prayer on the Go” which attached to a granola bar and offered to the travelers as “nourishment for the journey”. We were there as the first folk arrived and left after the last morning train. We were also grateful to my son, Robert, who offered to come out and help keep us supplied with hand-outs and to hold up the Back To Church Sunday sign!

Overall, the reception of people was good, but there was little time to exchange much more that a smile and a word of gratitude. Still, we all were in agreement that the morning was more fulfilling than we each expected.
