Sunday September 26 is “Back To Church Sunday“. It a once a year invitation Sunday started in the Church of England as a way to address falling attendance at its many Anglican Churches. The special Sunday, where parishioners were encouraged to invite a friend back to church, became a quick success and has now spread to New Zealand and here to Canada. Here is a video, about 7 minutes long that talks about this simple by effective initiative.

It is my hope, as rector of St. George’s, to encourage every member of our church to participate and invite a friend back to church on Sunday September the 26th.
