St. George's Anglican Church

building a community of caring and compassion in Georgetown, ON

March 8th Messy Church cancelled

Hey, guess what? It’s snowing. Again.

Well, unfortunately, we are canceling the 4pm Messy Church gathering for this afternoon.

So, stay inside and have a Hot Chocolate (until it stops and you have to shovel it). But come to Messy Church next month, OK!?!

Silvercreek Community Market is an outreach program of All Saints Lutheran Anglican Church, which is located in an area of Guelph with considerable needs. What makes our market different from other emergency food providers in the city is that our main focus is on providing fresh produce. • Sharing the Good News Through Food Security March 14, 2023
What is the role of churches amidst rising food prices and housing costs, inflation, and overall increases in cost of living? This question emerged during our Mission Action Plan meetings at St. David’s in Welland. Everyone is affected by inflation and the rising costs of living, but in particular those already disadvantaged are most adversely […] The post S […]

Lewis says, “You have no idea how good an old joke sounds when you take it out again after a rest of five or six hundred years.” Well, it probably hasn’t been quite that long, but I still like the one that says, “the world divides […] The post Was Jesus liberal or conservative? • My Soul in Silence Waits March 14, 2023
I’m sure that many of us at some point have stood outside in the late evening of a winter snowfall and marvelled at the sound of silence. All the noises of the outside world are muffled. There are varying degrees of silence—the hushed silence of the library, the silence surrounding a northern lake, and the […] The post My Soul in Silence Waits appeared first […]
