2006 Christmas Services

I invite you and your family to come and celebrate Christmas with us at St. George’s!

On Christmas Eve, Sunday the 24th, we will have a said service at 8am. It’s a quiet and reflective service to start the day.

Then things get much more “high energy” with our 5pm Christmas Eve Service. This service is most definitely for the whole family (Nursery care is provided). Our carols are lead by our children and youth “Singin’ Angels” choir and we hear the Christmas story and everyone is reminded of the real meaning of the holiday season.

At the 7pm and 9pm Christmas Eve Services our celebrations of Jesus’ birth continue with more music and carols lead by our Parish Choir and music director, Ron Greidanus. This year we are including accompaniment of organ, as well as harpsichord, timpani drums, and violin! At the 7pm there will be a solo sung by one of our talented youth members and at the 9pm our Men’s Choir will add to our celebrations. (Nursery care at the 7pm Service).

At the 11pm Christmas Eve Service, our most traditional service, we will be blessed again this year by the music of the harp played by yet another of our community’s talented youth musicians. Carols are sung and we rejoice the birth of Jesus Christ. This service is a perfect way to conclude a wonderful and joyful evening.

Finally, you are welcome to join us in a relaxed and upbeat celebration on Christmas Day at 10am. Children are welcome as we gather in church to sing and give thanks for the real miracle of Christmas.

I hope you to see you, and have a Merry Christmas.

Peace,
The Rev’d Rob Park
