Well the expanded collection of podcasts have arrived at the CBC. My distraction during lent was the seemingly long wait for a promised increase of CBC podcasts. They have come.

“Welcome to CBC Radio’s podcasts! You’ll find the best of our popular national Radio One shows, new regional podcast magazines, exclusive musical talent from Radio 3 and special podcast-only features. Discover programming that tickles your curiosity, feeds your brain and sparks your emotions!”

They have some “best of” selections of certain programs, like Ideas and even some “editors choice” style podcasts. They have designed it so that there are at least a couple new podcasts a day available and with a stable full of interviews and conversations from Radio One, they can provide this without even digging in too deep. Although, the CBC could change their format and delivery anytime, currently the podcast are available for free and without any advertising.

They do do say that they plan to add other podcasts in time, so I still have hope for Tapestry and the Vinyl Cafe!
