St. George’s third annual Noble Cookie Cup could not have asked for a finer morning to played for and award our top road hockey team. After having been postponed due to wet weather last month, and rescheduled for Saturday, May 21st, the sunny sky and warm breeze made the parking lot of the church a perfect place for road hockey.

With three teams vying for the grand prize, the action was fast and even occasionally furious. Outstanding goaltending for each team kept the games tight.

After each team had the opportunity to played each other twice it was determined that Team Chocolate Chip and Team Smores would be facing off in the finals. The prize batch of freshly baked oatmeal cookies, prepared graciously by Mrs. J. Noble, awaited the winner.

These two teams had tied both times they had met previously, but in the final match finally found a way to solve the fine goaltending of Team Smores. Team Chocolate Chip celebrated their victory by first hoisting the prize and then opening the container and passing them around to all the participants of our morning of fun.
